We fully renovated this duplex penthouse apartment in the heart of Mayfair. The fit out included the complete refurbishment of kitchen, bathrooms, master suite and bedroom, living spaces, staircase, balustrades, balcony and two private terraces. Works also involved substantial construction expertise to create new partitions and ceilings, modifications to the mechanical and electrical services, and new flooring. We fulfilled design requirements worthy of this property’s postcode using customised joinery, deluxe lighting, artisan wallpapers and specialist stonework, that provided beautiful finish to this penthouse suite.
MEP elements formed a substantial part of the works here and were crucial to the overall success and functionality of the property. Our principal aim was for the technical services to be installed, commissioned, validated and set to work in such a precise and seamless fashion that they were invisible to the tenant once the apartment was occupied. The property required a lot of care and finer detailing and many aspects required particular attention to ensure that only the highest quality was delivered.
Works were completed on the fourth and fifth floor simultaneously. The fourth floor saw adjustments in the layout of the apartment with new partitions and ceilings and removal of raised access floor in the bedroom. The ensuite was completed with brown cross-cut marble vanity unit and walls to the wet area and contrasting cream marble floors and walls elsewhere with urban brass sanitaryware, adding grandeur to the bathroom. A new kitchen complete with white attica composite stone countertops and splashbacks and warm brown timber flooring was installed. The reception room features a warm brown, chevron timber floor and timber joinery with cast glass doors and antique brass trims and handles. Glass shelving lit with LED lights create a great feature and the stunning cappuccino marble fireplace finishes the stylish look of the room.
On the fifth floor, a dressing room with floor to ceiling timber joinery is complimented by antique brass hanging rails and draw knobs with a mixture of open and closed storage. The master bedroom has a crème linen feature headboard with a walnut veneer frame and the ensuite has an impressive, bespoke cream and gold mosaic tiling on the walls with white marble floors, perfectly contrasted with urban brass sanitaryware.
The property has two terraces and a balcony which were fully refurbished with replaced decking and the installation of new external electrics, lighting and heating. The existing balustrades and finishes were all cleaned and repaired and new doors, ironmongery and seals, decorations and planters were all installed.
The stairs on the property were also fully refurbished with the original carpet being removed and replaced with an over cladding of steps with a timber finish. The dwarf wall was also removed, and new handrails and balustrades were installed.
This project saw the full renovation, refurbishment and fit out of the penthouse apartment, offering an enhanced premium dwelling with bespoke finishes throughout, improved terraces and external elements, as well as increasing the overall investment potential in one of London’s most prestigious locations.
